Certification to the R2 Standard is dependent upon the successful completion of an independent 3rd party audit (Third Party Certification) conducted to determine if the organization's facility has achieved conformance with all of the Standard’s requirements.
Facility Certification - One important point regarding the R2 certification is that it is only applicable to the facility or facilities participating in the audit and not the entire organization.
